"Lorraine has cared for my friend for the past 4 years until the increasing dementia meant that my friend now needs residential care. I can recommend Lorraine without reservation. She gradually gained the confidence of her initially resistant client and has always shown real caring, great patience and understanding. She has taken pains to get to know the client's interests and to understand her personality, initiating outings and encouraging pastimes (an uphill task) and constantly thinking of new ways to stimulate the client. The personal care Lorraine has offered has been second to none and she has tended to personal hygiene issues, diet, dressing, laundry, shopping and medical and other appointments with the utmost reliability and tact. Her patience in encouraging the client to eat and drink and to take medication has been especially noteworthy. She is a conscientious, caring and utterly trustworthy person and I would recommend her to anyone. The extent of the individual care given by one person Monday to Friday has been of enormous benefit and far outweighs the need to cover care at the weekends and holidays. I should also add that Lorraine liaises regularly with family/significant people ensuring ease of communication concerning the client's care."
